What are floating rotors?

A true "floating" rotor design allows the disk portion to expand radially with heat, separate from the cooler mounting hat. This reduces stress-induced deformation of the disk due to differences in temperature between disk and hat. The net result is more effective braking and longer lifespan of pad and rotor components.

Bobbin technology provides a durable and quiet method of isolating potential pad engagement harmonics and the in-service thermal variances that occur between the mounting hat and the rotor. This system places the "float" within the hat, allowing normal thermal expansion of the disk to occur without deformation, which results in truer running, smoother engagement, extended reliability, and consistent pedal feel after every lap.

• Alcon aerospace alloy aluminum 6-piston calipers, staggered piston sizes. Color choices: red or matte gray.
• Bobbin-type floating rotors (355mmX28mm)
• Hawk Performance Ceramic brake pads (street use). Race pad substitution available.
• Mil-spec heat treated stainless steel alloy radial mount brackets.
• DOT-compliant stainless steel braided/plastic covered brake lines. Matching rear lines included.
• Mounting hardware, all metric grade 12.9.
• OPTION: red or gray color (some custom colors available at additional cost).
