  The return of the quality "budget" sprung-hub flywheel...

Long known as the true pioneer of BMW lightweight flywheels with sprung-hub clutches, UUC is now producing our classic "Stage 1" flywheel again.

The Stage 1 flywheel uses a standard-type E36 M3 pressure plate and the E34 M5 sprung hub disk.

Please note:
  Using the M5 disk is not the same as using the entire M5 clutch kit as in our "Stage 2" flywheel/clutch package.  Maximum power capability is always an interactive function between the maximum clamp load of the pressure plate and the clutch disk material.  The M3 pressure plate does not have the same clamp load as the M5 pressure plate.  Both M3 and M5 clutch disks are the same material, but the M5 disk has a sprung-hub center to reduce gearbox rattle/rollover noise at idle.

For racecar-style throttle response with street-driving civility, our 13 lb. flywheel works great on all E36 3-series, E36 M3, and E46 3-series cars when using the hybrid M3/M5 clutch kit.

minor additional chattering or noise while in neutral may be experienced in some cars due to transmission build tolerances, type of fluid used, and temperature.
